Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Space Trash, including the Discord application, website, game systems, virtual items, subscriptions, and related services.

Effective date: June 12, 2026

1. Agreement to these Terms

By installing, accessing, or using Space Trash, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Space Trash is operated under the OctoDyn name (“Space Trash,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

You must also follow Discord’s applicable terms, community rules, and paid services terms when using Space Trash through Discord.

2. Eligibility

You must meet the minimum age required by Discord and the laws where you live. If you are under the legal age of majority, a parent or legal guardian must authorize any purchase or subscription.

3. The Service

Space Trash is a persistent multiplayer Discord game where users may create a pilot, collect resources, mine, salvage, fight, raid, upgrade ships, join events, use virtual currency, purchase digital benefits, and appear on public rankings.

Features, balance, item values, drop rates, commands, events, and progression may change as the game is updated.

4. Accounts and Game Data

Your Space Trash profile is linked to your Discord user ID. You are responsible for maintaining control of your Discord account. You may not sell, transfer, share, or exploit player profiles except through game systems we expressly allow.

We may correct corrupted records, reverse duplicated rewards, remove fraudulent purchases, or restore data from backups when reasonably necessary to protect the game and its players.

5. Virtual Currency and Digital Items

Void Credits, ships, skins, crates, upgrades, crew, Autopilot access, titles, cosmetics, and other digital items are licensed game features. They are not cash, property, stored value, cryptocurrency, or a bank balance.

6. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Autopilot

Paid features may be offered through Discord Premium Apps, Stripe-hosted checkout, or another supported payment platform. Prices and benefits are shown before purchase.

Subscriptions

Support Crew subscriptions renew automatically until canceled through the platform used to purchase them. Cancellation normally stops future renewal; access may continue until the end of the paid billing period.

Consumable purchases

Void Credit packs and temporary Autopilot passes may be consumable purchases. Once delivered or consumed, they may not be reusable.

Purchases made through Discord are also governed by Discord’s Paid Services Terms and Refund Policy. Purchases made through Stripe are also governed by Stripe’s checkout and payment terms.

7. Refunds

Except where required by law or by the payment platform’s rules, digital purchases are generally final after delivery. Discord currently treats one-time Premium App purchases as non-refundable and handles eligible Premium App subscription refund requests under its own refund policy.

For web purchases, contact us through the Support section of the website with the transaction details. We may review duplicate charges, failed fulfillment, or technical errors. Approved refunds are issued through the original payment processor.

8. Acceptable Use

You may not:

9. Moderation and Enforcement

We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate access for violations, fraud, abuse, security risks, or conduct that harms the game or its community. We may also remove fraudulent gains and preserve records needed for security, disputes, or legal compliance.

10. Availability and Changes

Space Trash is provided on an evolving and experimental basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent preservation of game data, specific drop rates, continued availability of any feature, or compatibility with every Discord server.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service. When practical, material changes will be announced through the website or Discord.

11. Intellectual Property

Space Trash branding, code, original artwork, game systems, text, and website content are owned by or licensed to Space Trash / OctoDyn. Third-party names, platforms, and assets remain the property of their respective owners.

You receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use the service for its intended purpose.

12. Third-Party Services

Space Trash uses third-party services including Discord, Stripe, Top.gg, hosting providers, and content delivery services. Their own terms and policies apply. We are not responsible for third-party outages, account actions, payment holds, platform changes, or service discontinuation.

13. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Space Trash is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or permanent preservation of virtual items or progress.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Space Trash / OctoDyn will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, lost virtual items, service interruptions, or third-party platform actions.

Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount you paid directly for Space Trash during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where local consumer law requires otherwise.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service, payment systems, or legal requirements change. The updated effective date will appear at the top of this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

17. Contact

Questions, billing issues, or legal notices may be submitted through the Support section of the Space Trash website.
